Spectrum’s Tarnished Silver is an interesting glaze, with results ranging from matte silver to luscious dark green with a hint of metallic. As the glaze flows over edges and pools in recesses, it creates nice drama between the green and silver, making this an excellent glaze for carved pieces, or pieces with nice throwing marks or other texture. At the same time, however, it looks very nice on a smooth surface, offering some nice striations as it flows during the firing.
