We did two raku firings as Second Saturday events in 2010 and they was so popular that we decided to do it again. Bring your own bisque fired pots to glaze and fire or use one of ours. We’ll grill hot dogs in between raku firings (on a separate grill, *not* in the raku kiln). We’ll have some chips and lemonade and hot dog type of condiments. Feel free to join the potluck type feel of the day and bring along a side dish if you want (this is *not* required, though). No cost. Everyone welcome. If you have long hair, bring a hair tie or something to fasten it back. No sandals or open-toed shoes. Use common sense – there will be fire. If you’ve never raku fired and are unsure or nervous, please call ahead of time and we’ll answer any questions you might have about the Raku process. **NOTE** If the weather forecast the day before the Raku Second Saturday looks bad, our April Second Saturday Artist (Cindy Buehler) will be our March Artist and the Raku firing will be moved back to April 9th (and we’ll hope for better weather in April).
