New in the store!
The latest awesome addition to our store is these Texture Spheres. We premiered them in December with a fun video and are now excited to announce that two new designs are on the way (as well as more stock of the original designs, which sold out faster than we could do a somersault!). Click here to preorder yours before they roll away!
February Second Saturday – Mark Barta
Mark sure knows how to sweeten the pot, if you’ll pardon the pun. Bracker’s is thrilled to host Mark in our studio as our Featured Artist on Valentine’s Day. Mark fell in love with clay at Shawnee Mission East High School, under the tutelage of a great potter/teacher named Shelley Trewolla, then continued to hone his craft at Kansas State University under Distinguished Professor Yoshiro Ikeda. Most of you already know that January was my birthday month and I had the best January EVER! Greetings via email, hugs and kisses in the store, cards (thank you Jan Van Meter for the handmade paper card that had pictures of teapots), a beautiful teapot from Gary Martin, and beautiful flowers from Les Byer and Jeff Sandoe. Best of all was the incredibly creative use of my favorite ceramic tools and equipment that my two daughters had put on sale with, of course, the last 2 digits being 70¢ for my 70th birthday. For me, age is relative and I am happy to have made it this far in life. Most of the tools brought back wonderful and dear memories of Bill and I making pottery together. So, thank you to two very special ladies that I love very much – my sweet daughters, Anne M. and Cindy
Just for fun
(because who doesn’t like a little fun! We’ll report the findings in next month’s newsletter!
