In June of 2012, Bracker’s celebrated 30 years. As part of our celebration, we opened our studio one evening for a fun social night of community clay work. (Read the post about the original open studio night here) We had such a good time that we’ve decided to make it a regular thing!
So, starting in 2013, on the Third Thursday of each month, we’ll open up the back studio area from 4:00 pm – 7:00pm. This is a completely informal event, we have a few wheels, a slabroller & extruder available for community use, or, if you want to toss your wheel in the back of your pickup (or car), we’ve got plenty of extension cords and power strips. For those who just want to enjoy the creative collaboration, we’ll have a variety of clays you can use to try out a new technique, perhaps one you saw at a Second Saturday…? Works created with our studio clay will be bisque fired and then used for glaze of the month tests. If you want to be credited, be sure to sign your work. Please also identify which clay body you used. So, mark your calendar now for the Third Thursday in January and join us for an afternoon of clay-play!
