Bracker’s is proud to announce that beginning in January, we will be adding several Standard Clay Bodies to our regularly stocked clay bodies. Standard has long been known for quality, consistency, and excellent customer service. And like so many companies in this wonderful industry, Standard is a family-owned business; the Turnbull family is now in its third generation in clay! We are in the process of figuring out which bodies we will carry. We will certainly be carrying the clay bodies used by Steven Hill and the other teachers and artists at 323 Clay. (If you don’t already know about 323 Clay, it’s a fabulous gallery/studio/school with wonderful facilities and fabulous teachers! Check out their website or their facebook page!)
Please feel free to give us input on clay bodies you want us to stock if you have preferences from the images below.

New clay!!! That first and last row of Cone 5 clays are interesting were they fired in an electric or gas kiln?
I’ll visiting you after the new year and hope to get some great clay to work with during the Spring Semester!
ALl the Cone 5 clays shown are oxidation. Reduction would be cool to see too! hmmmm
I would like to know a little bit more about what type of clay the cone 5 clays are . I would like to try a white clay that I can make a slab square pedistal cake plate from , and it won’t slump during glaze firing.
Does the clay in the bottom row, far left have speckles in the body?
Yep! That speckled body is one of my favorites!
What kind is the first white clay , cone 5, and what is it priced at per # ? Is it available , yet ?
The one in the Cone 5 Section you mean? We don’t have any of the Standard clays in *yet*, but should be ordering our first load in the next month or so.
