Join us on November 6, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Arts Tech (1522 Holmes Street) for the premier of Empty Bowls Kansas City which serves as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community and around the world. Attendees have the opportunity of selecting a bowl from hundreds of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted bowls donated by Kansas City area ceramists and craft artists, then receive a simple dinner of soup.
Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and crafts people in cities and towns across the country to feed the hungry in their communities. It supports food-related charitable organizations around the world, and has raised millions of dollars to end hunger. We are excited to expand the fight here in Kansas City with the 25th year of Empty Bowls here in Kansas City presented by Kansas City-area ceramists and artists working in various media.
Bracker’s is a proud sponsor of this event that heralds the much anticipated NCECA Conference to be held in Kansas City in March 2016
Early ticket holders can get in at 5:00. Tickets at the door go on sale at 6:00. After dinner at 7:00 pm there will be a silent and live auction of donated art from many of the local artists supporting this event including: Jilli Nel, Dorthy Bradley, LeRoy Grubbs.
