Diversity in Clay
Those who have been following our Instagram know that in June of 2020 we started sharing daily images of work from a diverse selection of artists of color.  We were happy to introduce our followers to artists that they may not know and we received a lot of positive responses from the artists we highlighted and those of you who enjoyed learning about them.  This project was by far a Bracker’s favorite as it allowed us to reconnect with ceramics through the discovery of amazing artists.  We took some time to think about how we could do more and do better.  We are excited to share new perspectives, new artists, and new work and this new section of our website to begin building an ongoing and evolving resource for teachers and students of clay.
Please be patient as we populate this page with past features and expand the information on each artist. Â New artist features will be released here about once a week
The gallery below shows features in order from most newest to oldest. Â You can also use the keywords to narrow your results by ethnicity/race/nationality or by type of work, or you can browse through the growning pages of artist features here on our website.Â
Teachers – Did you know that all of our 2021 features include an educational challenge, so you can assign projects to your students for enrichment
