The AMACO chalk underglazes are just plain fun to use.  They remind me of elementary school art classes, which were, of course, always the best part of the day, whether we were cutting up construction paper and gluing it down, making masks, or learning about blending colors with pastels.  The AMACO chalks are exactly like those pastels, but made from underglaze.  They can be applied directly on bisque, then covered with a clear glaze (sponge on the first coat to avoid smearing your design), or they can be applied on top of a glaze, either white, or any color you like.  Chalks are sold individually for $3.95, or as two different sets of 8 for $32.95
