POSTERS
AMACO has a great set of 14 posters, 17" Wide x 22" High. Each is
printed on cardstock with holes for hanging and have a protective UV
coating. Each poster includes step-by-step full color photographs to
illustrate ceramic techniques, including wedging coil and slab
construction, hump molds, centering and throwing, trimming and glazing
and firing. Examples of finished work by leading ceramists are shown on
some of the posters. One poster illustrates thrity-six different
cross-sections.
Crystal Productions also has a series of 10 posters, 17" Wide X 22"
High. Each poster contains a series of well done photos illustrating
themes such as clay tools,wedging, coil, slab textures/press molds,
centering/throwing, manipulating the cylinder, handles/lids/covers,
firing, and plaster molds.
Also from Crystal Productions is a set of 12 Ceramics Prints, 12" X 16"
covering a diverse selection of styles and techniques from ancient to
contemporary work
Davis Publications has a Ceramics Timeline that consists of 3 panels,
each 60" X 12" with beautiful reproductions and informative text
highlighting clay from 35,000 BC to the present. A wonderful teaching
tool. A curriculum guide with suggested activities, vocabulary with
definitions, and bibliography is included.
