The AMACO LM Matt Glaze Series is one of the most pleasing for decorative art pottery.
Because LM Matt Glazes are nonflowing, they are adaptable for some unique types of decoration. If any clear glaze looks milky or cloudy
when fired, it is either applied too thickly or not fired hot enough (or a combination
of the two). Clear glaze can be used over the AMACO LUG Series, Velvets,
Designer Velvets, and the GDC Gloss Decorating Colors.
AMACO Matt Glazes fire to a smooth, matte finish at a witness Cone 05 (1911°
F or 1044°C). Apply two to three coats of glaze over Cone 04 bisque and
slow fire lead free glazes for best results. All AMACO Glazes are formulated
for brushing. If pouring, sponging, or dipping techniques are used, please use
proper precautions to prevent accidental ingestion (wash your hands after glazing,
etc.). |
