IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFO
GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION:
The software that automatically calculates the shipping charges on your
order is good, but it can’t compare to the personal touch when packing
your order. We strive to pack your order in the safest and most efficient
manner possible to ensure that your order gets to you in good condition.
We take into consideration things that even the best software can’t imagine,
and therefore the shipping charges on your order might not be exactly
the same as the software has calculated. With only a few exceptions (such
as extremely breakable items that require extra packing, and therefore
a small handling charge), we only charge you what UPS charges us, as determined
by the actual weight of each package. UPS orders under $15.00 may be subject
to a $2.50 handling charge. Full bags of dry clay and chemicals sent UPS
may be charged $2.50/ box packing plus regular shipping cost.
Any special shipping requests must accompany your order. For larger orders, we have secured excellent discounts with several freight companies to provide even greater savings. When we receive an order that will ship freight, we will determine which company offers the best rates to your particular area. Freight orders include tailgate delivery only. Although most truck drivers are willing to help out a little, they are not required to help you unload your order, so be prepared to have the manpower and/or equipment to unload it. An additional charge may apply (set by the trucking company) if inside delivery, phone notification prior to delivery, or other special arrangements need to be made. One option to avoid possible residential delivery surcharges is to pick the order up at the shipping terminal if it is convenient to you. If you are interested in this option, mention it with your order.
SHIPPING DAMAGE:
When your order arrives, please unpack it and examine it immediately to verify you received everything accurately and in good condition. If your order does not arrive in good condition, please make sure to note the damage on the bill of lading or notify the UPS delivery driver. Claims for goods damaged in transit by freight companies are your responsibility, although we will make every attempt to provide whatever information you require for the claim. Claims for goods damaged in transit by UPS are our responsibility. Please notify us right away if something is damaged when sent via UPS Because of the fragile nature of kiln shelves, a 10% packing charge (10% of the cost of the shelves only) will be assessed to all freight shipments of kiln shelves. We will not ship kiln shelves larger than 16” diameter via UPS.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
We ship international shipments several different ways, depending on
the size of the package and your specifications. We can ship parcel post,
express, UPS Worldwide, or DHL International for small packages. Larger
orders, such as big equipment or pallet-sized items, can be shipped via
container freight shippers. In most cases, the shipment would arrive at
the port nearest you and you would be responsible for customs fees and
arranging for delivery to your location. Please select "FREIGHT"
as the shipping option when checking out and we'll email you with options
and costs.

UPS Ground:
Prompt, dependable, low-cost ground delivery makes UPS Ground an excellent choice for all your routine shipments such as tools, books, glazes, and most mixed shipments under 400 - 500 pounds (do not use UPS for shipping methods for kilns and some wheels).
UPS 3 Day Select:
UPS 3 Day Select® offers the ideal mix of economy and guaranteed on-time delivery.
UPS 2nd Day Air:
Use UPS 2nd Day Air as an economical alternative for time-sensitive shipments that do not require next day delivery.
UPS Next Day Air:
Guaranteed Overnight Delivery by 3:00 p.m. UPS Next Day Air Saver® offers an affordable delivery option for those important shipments that require next-business-day delivery, but don't have to be there in the morning.
USPS Priority Mail:
If you want to use this option, choose "Freight" as the shipping method, then mention your shipping choice in the comments section during checkout.
Now you can have delivery of documents and packages made in an average of 2 to 3 days.

Freight:
We work with several different LTL (Less Than a Truckload) freight companies for shipments including larger quantities of moist clay (around 1000# or more of combined weights), more than a bag or two of dry clay, and large equipment such as kilns, some wheels, etc. When shipping orders via freight, we strive to find the best rate for your particular order, shipping location, and needs (residential vs. commercial delivery, etc.), therefore we don't automatically calculate freight shipping charges online. We will contact you with exact freight charges and any options that may be available to you.
Pick Up At Bracker's:
Many of our customers live in the Midwest and will place an order online in advance of a visit to our store in Lawrence, Kansas. Select this method if you plan to pick up your order. If you have a general time frame for your pickup (i.e. Today, Tomorrow, Next Week, The Second Week of the Month, etc.) please indicate it in the comment area during the checkout process.
