WEB SITE NAVIGATION HELP
First, login to the site (or register if this is your first visit). Keep in mind that we will never give or sell your
personal information to anyone. When you login, you'll see special prices that apply to you. The best way to browse for
products is to use the pull down menu that says "Pick a Category," just below the horizontal red bar where it says
"Product Search." We've organized our products in a way that's very similar to our printed catalog. This pull down menu
shows the major categories. Select one of them and click the GO button. This will bring up another pull down menu that
will help you further refine your search. For example, if you wanted to look for moist clays, you'd first select
"Raw Materials" from the pull down menu. You'd then get another pull down menu that asks if you want Moist Clays in
Stock, Special Order Moist Clays, Bulk Dry Clays, Chemicals, etc. Some categories may bring up two or three pull down
menus if there are a lot of products.
The Keyword Search can be kind of tricky. You'll want to be as specific as you can. For
example, if you type in "Cones" you will wind up with a huge list because it will search for every mention of cones in
the entire database, including glazes that list things like "firing range: cone 06 to 04." If you are looking for a
broad category like that, it's best to use the product search. But if you're looking for something like the Giffin
Lidmaster, then it might be easier to just type "Giffin" into the Keyword Search.
TIPS FOR USING THIS SITE
1. Registering is important because it lets you see your discounted prices and separates schools because they might use purchase order numbers or school purchasing cards (regular customers don't need this option). As of January 1, 2006, we have eliminated the different price levels for schools and regular customers. Ultimately, this means that everyone will get the best Bracker's price available when you order and schools will be eligible for sale prices during our sales. If you have any questions about how this impacts your situation, please contact us. We never give or sell your information to anyone else and registration doesn't automatically sign you up for any newsletters, advertisements, or anything else (we have a separate double opt-in signup for that). 2. The QUICK LINKS section on the home page is regularly updated with important or frequently used links within our site. However our BLOG is also a great source of all sorts of news tidbits, tips and tricks, new product announcements, etc. Visit it regularly to see the latest information.
3. The category pull down menus are the easiest way to find things, although we do have a search feature. Items in our store are organized into 20 different common categories with subcategories to further define the items you want. For example, category 11 is Low-Fire Glazes. Subcategories include AMACO, Duncan, and Spectrum glazes, with further subcategories to separate the glazes into each manufacturer's glaze series.
4. To quickly return to the home page, just click the Bracker's world logo in the upper left hand of each page.
