Cone 5-6. A collection of potters’ favorite glazes made easy. They are made for anyone who would like to achieve the Cone 10 reduction effects without having to have a reduction gas kiln or firing at that high temperature. The PC Series glazes look beautiful and authentic. All colors are Lead Free, but not necessarily AP Non-toxic. CL glazes are restricted from use by K-6. Examples shown below were fired in an oxidation kiln. Potter’s Choice glazes are Available in Pints, Gallons, and 25 lb. Dry (25 lb. dipping glazes are packaged in 5 gallon buckets for easy mixing.). If the glaze is not applied heavy enough, the float will not be thick enough to crack and show the contrast. The cracking float surface also makes these ideal for layering on top of other glazes. (A note of caution with these glazes they are easily fumed by near-by pots that contain iron compounds or other volatiles. This can also create a beautiful look if desired but keep this in mind.) |
